THS Tools Groups Rewards its Suppliers

Overall Supplier of the Year for the third year running went to Porta UK, supplier of drill chucks, arbors and sleeves, who also won Supplier of the Year in Category ‘C’. The other winners were Harrison & Clough (fastenings, fixings & hand tool wholesaler), G&J Hall (cutting tools) and Aerosol Solutions. The supplier awards are voted for by THS members, a 140 strong nationwide network of independent distributors. All 170 suppliers to the Group were scored on a scale of 1 to 10 on a number of key criteria including; delivery, administration and support services.

Managing Director of THS Tools Group, John Parkin said, "The awards provide a vehicle by which to officially recognise those suppliers who provide outstanding service to our members. Furthermore, the voting process enables THS to assess the performance of each individual supplier and identify areas for improvement and provides vital marketing information."

Porta UK, is a family owned business which was established some 12 years ago. Mike and Brenda Booth and their son David are involved in the day to day running of the company and currently employ 12 staff some of which are based in Worksop and others throughout the UK acting as sales agents for Porta.
